Latter-day Trumpet draws some attention during the 2007 BYU football tailgate party at the Rose Bowl

The Latter-day Trumpet is the first distributed newspaper that is intended primarily for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Southern California.[citation needed]

This monthly publication began in February 2003 and covers the interests, activities, uplifting articles, and announcements of the LDS Church within Southern California. The paper enters nearly 19,000 California homes[citation needed] and is a free newspaper intended as a service to the LDS population. The newspaper is not an official publication of the Church; rather, it is operated and maintained by the volunteer efforts of several individual members of the church within Southern California.
