The legality of anabolic steroids varies from country to country. Some have more restrictive laws than others.

By country[edit]

United States[edit]

In the United States, anabolic steroids are controlled substances, they can legally be used with medical prescription. This was determined by the Anabolic Steroids Control Act of 1990, which added anabolic steroids to the Schedule III drug list.[1]

Canada[edit]

In Canada, steroids are legal but are Schedule IV drugs, which means there are some exceptions and punishments, but they are less severe.

Mexico[edit]

In Mexico, there is no specification in the law for steroid use, thus making them legal.

Colombia[edit]

In Colombia, there is no specification in the law for steroid use, thus making them legal.
