Legion of the Damned is a science fiction novel by William C. Dietz, first published by Ace Books in 1993.
This is the first book in the nine book Legion of the Damned series by William C. Dietz. The final novel (A Fighting Chance) was released in November 2011.[dated info]
When there's no hope for the terminally ill or a condemned criminal they have one last chance to survive. And that's to join the Legion and become a cyborg. Both more and less than human, these warriors are the most elite fighting force in the Empire, they are the Legion of the Damned.
The first novel in a prequel Legion of the Damned series (Andromeda's Fall) will be released in late 2012.
