Lenape Valley Regional High School is a four-year regional public high school and school district in New Jersey serving approximately 900 students from two municipalities in Sussex County and one in Morris County.
The communities served by the high school are Byram Township and Stanhope Borough in Sussex and Netcong Borough in Morris County. The school is located in Stanhope.[3]
As of the 2009-10 school year, the district's one school had an enrollment of 850 students and 68 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.50.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[4]
Lenape Valley is the only high school in Sussex County with a planetarium.[5]
The school was the 105th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2008 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools. The school was ranked 139th in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which surveyed 316 schools across the state.[6]

The Lenape Valley Regional High School Patriots participate in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, following a reorganization of sports leagues in Northern New Jersey by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).[7]. The school is categorized by the NJSIAA as North I, Group II.
The football team won the North I Group I state sectional championships in N12 1977 1981 1989-1991, 1993, 1999.[8]
The Patriots wrestling team in the 2005-06 season was 21-7, ranked #16 in New Jersey, and won district 2. In the 2005-2006 wrestling season, DJ Russo was the state runner-up and national champion for the 215 weight class; he ended his season with only 1 loss. The Patriots wrestling team repeated with a district championship in the 2006-2007 season, and finished the year with a 16-11 record.
The Patriots made it to the 2004-05 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Group II Section I state championship at Giants Stadium, falling in double overtime to Lakeland Regional High School Lancers by a score of 17-14.[9]
The Patriots Wrestling team in the 2008-09 season finished 18-5, ranked #15 in New Jersey, and won their first state sectional title since 1999 after defeating Elmwood Park Memorial High School 40-23.

- Rob Freeman (born 1981), former Hidden in Plain View guitarist, backup vocalist and songwriter.[citation needed]
- Adam Riggs (born 1972), former Los Angeles Angels player known for his misspelled "Angees" jersey in a 2003 game.[10]

Lenape Valley Regional High School offers a selection of sports, including Football, Soccer, Tennis, Wrestling, Field Hockey and Cheerleading.[11] The school also offers Business activities, Creative Writing based courses and Music courses, including Choirs and Bands.[12]

The school itself contains 17 special education teachers. The school offers support to the visually, hearing and physically impaired, through special classes and extra-curricular help.[13] The school also does work with speech therapy and development.
