Leslie Cass is a Welsh songwriter, lyricist and musician, mostly known as the brother of Ronald Cass, the musical writer to Summer Holiday and The Young Ones.

Cass was born in Llanelli, Wales. He was one of five brothers to Saul and Rachel Cass.
Cass has his own jewellery store in his home town of Sheffield. He is married to Gloria Cass and has three children. The couple now have eight loving grandchildren.
[edit] Musical career
In 2008, Cass began writing a musical, based on the biblical story of Ruth, which was completed in late 2009.
The production ran from 27 October 2009 at the Kingfield Hall in Sheffield for three consecutive nights. The play received plenty of media attention from the surrounding area prior to its debut,[1][2][3] and excellent reviews in the local press.
