Liberty High School (LHS) is a four-year public high school in northern Colorado Springs, Colorado, and part of Academy School District 20. It opened in 1987 and in 2005, it had an enrollment of 1365.

The school motto is: Give me a place to stand and I will move the earth, attributed to Ryan Bixler. The mascot of the school is Tyga. The mission statement of Liberty is

LHS is a member of the College Board and the National Association of College Admission Counseling, and it accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools.
Advanced courses available include college preparatory courses, International Baccalaureate, and opportunities for Advanced Placement.
LHS football is under the excellent coaching of Jaron Cohen and the team continues to improve. Brennen Meredith and Ethan Campbell are star players on the team.

Liberty's marching band has been making great improvements with the addition of a new band teacher. Hired in 2007, Genice Matzke helped the band to get the "most improved" award at CBA in her very first year as Liberty's Band Director. The marching band program is strong and growing each year, with 140 members participating in the 2009 Pride of the Lancers Band, and a projected 160 members in 2010. In the 2009 marching season, the band jumped from semifinals, placing 12th in 2008, to state finalists, placing 6th in the 2009 marching season. In 2010, Liberty's marching band hit new heights. They traveled to St. Louis to compete in the Bands of America super regional competition held there. They placed 23rd overall and 4th in their division. The band also finished 4th in the state, a new record for the band.
Liberty also has a very strong theater program, taught by Steve Skelcey. "The Wiz" was a very popular show, which won an award for best set construction. Liberty's production of "Beauty and the Beast" also received second place in the ScenoGraphics National Set Construction Competition. THE year 2009–2010 the plays were "West Side Story" and "Caught in the Act". The 2010-2011 productions were "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and "Seussical" both shows sold out for all showings and 2 showings respectively. The 2011-2012 season's plays are: "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940", "Scarborough Fair: Cult Classics"; "Rough Magic"; and "Moby Dick: The Musical".
