Lieutenant Governors of the State of Connecticut, 1776-present[edit]

The State of Connecticut counts the Lieutenant Governors using a standard that counts Colonial period lieutenants as well as counting lieutenants who had served multiple times as only one individual figure. There have been 108 Lieutenant Governors in the history of Connecticut and 88 since the founding of the United States in 1776.

Living former lieutenant governors[edit]

As of August 2014, there are seven living former lieutenant governors, the oldest being Fred J. Doocy (1966–1967, born 1913). The most recent death of a former lieutenant governor was that of William O'Neill (1979–1980), who died on November 24, 2007.
