Life Outreach International (often called "Life Outreach" or just "Life") is a Christian media organization, founded and headed by James Robison.[1]
The organization produces the syndicated television program Life Today, which Robison co-hosts with his wife Betty.[2]
"LIFE Today" airs around the world and features guest interviews and mission outreaches. Past guests have included actor Robert Duvall, singer Randy Travis, President George W. Bush, baseball pitcher Andy Pettitte and other celebrities.
The ministry’s outreaches include:
- Mission Feeding—a program that distributes food to starving people in impoverished countries
- Mission: Water for Life—a program that raises money to dig water wells in parts of the world where people lack access to clean drinking water.
- Homes for life—a program that raises funds to build houses for people in impoverished countries.
- Evangelism—a program for taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to nations around the world.[2]
The ministry relies on tax-deductible donations and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
James Robison receives an annual salary from Life Outreach International of $159,000, and Betty Robison receives $128,000, figures based on wage and compensation surveys of similar organizations in their geographic region. They also receive standard benefits.
