Light Bright is a wearable art project made of LEDs conceptualized and constructed by Erik Johnson (aka, EkriirkE, pron. /ˌɛkər ˈɪərkiː/) of Dublin, CA. The interactivity and mobility of Light Bright's design engages the kid in us all; brightening the night and enlightening trips with a delightful, dazzling, and dizzying display of lights, colors, and patterns.[1]

[edit] History

Named by what the majority of people were clamoring, hollering and yowling when they saw him: "LIGHT BRIGHT!" (referring to the Lite-Brite game) came into being at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

[edit] Construction

Twelve polyurethane grids measuring 30 cm square. Mounted to each grid panel are 256 tri-color 5mm LEDs soldered to stranded copper wire then connected to a 555 timer IC for control. The 12 panels are then mounted to the body of 6'8" EkriirkE transforming into Light Bright.
