List of A.C. Milan players
Associazione Calcio Milan are an Italian professional football club based in Milan, Lombardy, who currently play in the Serie A. They were founded in 1899 as Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club, and entered the Italian Football Championship the following year. Since that time the club's first team has competed in numerous nationally and internationally-organised competitions.
All players who have played in 100 or more such matches are listed below. Some players who have played fewer matches are also listed; these are club captains and players who made a significant contribution to the club's history, for instance by setting a club record. Appearances and goals are for first-team competitive matches only; wartime matches are excluded, substitute appearances are included.
Paolo Maldini holds the record for overall appearances, having played 902 matches between 1985 and 2009. Franco Baresi is second in this list, having made 719 appearances for the club. The player who has made the most appearances in Europe is once again Paolo Maldini, having played 168 matches in European competitions (which is also the all-time record).
Gunnar Nordahl is the club's record goalscorer, having scored 221 goals during his Milan career; 210 of those goals were scored in league competition making him also the club's record goalscorer in the league. Besides, Nordahl holds the record for the most goals in a season: he scored 38 goals in all competitions during the 1950–51 season.
