This is a list of all Squadrons of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC). AAFC units consist of wings (WGs), squadrons (SQNs), specialist flights (FLTs) and the national headquarters unit.

National Units and Directorates[edit]

These units operate on a national level. Headquarters AAFC is nominally located in Sydney, New South Wales, although personnel staffing this unit come from around the nation. Directorates come under the authority of Headquarters – Australian Air Force Cadets (HQAAFC):

  • Cadet Support Directorate (CSD) supports the AAFC by working with internal and external parties to ensure timely availability of information, processes and activities that will add benefit to the organisation and enhance the cadet experience.[1] Also coordinates firearms training within the AAFC.
  • Logistics Directorate (LOGD) develops policies on, and organises logistic issues such as uniforms and equipment distribution.
  • Ground Training Directorate (GTD) develops high-level policies on ground training (squadron training, cadet promotion courses, fieldcraft, roping activities, staff training, etc.).
  • Aviation Training Directorate (ATD) develops high-level policies in relation to flying training (Gliding, Powered Flying)
