List of Canadian ambassadors to the United States

This is a list of Canadian envoys to the United States, formally titled as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America for Her Majesty's Government in Canada. Until 1943, Canada's representative had the rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary, after which the position was promoted to the rank of ambassador, while Leighton McCarthy occupied the position.
