This article is a list of loughs on the island of Ireland. The word lough is pronounced loc and comes from the Irish loch, meaning lake.

The list below contains only those loughs that are of geographic, geological or historical importance. The list includes loughs that are situated within Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Those partly or wholly within Northern Ireland are marked with an asterisk (*).
