List of Major League Baseball leaders in career stolen bases
This is a list of the top 500 Major League Baseball leaders in career stolen bases. In the sport of baseball, a stolen base is a statistic credited to a baserunner when he successfully advances to the next base while the pitcher is delivering the ball to home plate.
Rickey Henderson holds the Major League Baseball stolen base record with 1406, and is the only player in Major League Baseball history with more than 1000 stolen bases. Second is Lou Brock with 938. Juan Pierre is the current active leader.
