  1. ^ Hough was born in Hawaii when it was still a U.S. territory. The most wins for a pitcher born in the State of Hawaii is 136 by Ron Darling.
  2. ^ Aruba is an autonomous region within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
  3. ^ The Austro-Hungarian Empire was dissolved in 1918 at the end of World War I.
  4. ^ Quinn was born in what is now  Slovakia.
  5. ^ Curaçao is a part of the Netherlands Antilles, an autonomous region within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Netherlands Antilles was scheduled to be dissolved on December 15, 2008, at which time Curaçao would become its own region with the same status as Aruba; this dissolution is still planned, but has been postponed to an indefinite future date.
