Monster High is a doll line and media franchise produced by Mattel. The web series, TV specials and full-length movies form part of this franchise.

Most of the main characters are children of the famous Universal Monsters. Monster High webisodes are available on the franchise's website which went live on May 5, 2010.[1][2] One new webisode was added each Friday from May 5 to July 30, 2010. You can access all webisodes till date on various online websites.[3]

The series follows the main "ghoulfriends" (girlfriends) of the franchise such as Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Lagoona Blue, Cleo de Nile, Ghoulia Yelps, and Abbey Bominable; and how they manage in the "Monster High" high school. Other characters appear throughout the series, such as the antagonist Toralei Stripe (a were-cat).

The Monster High webisodes are used as a promotional tool for the Mattel's franchise. New webisodes are often released every other Thursdays on the official Monster High website and YouTube channel. Every Halloween, a TV special airs on Nickelodeon.

Volume 5 (2014-Present)[edit]

On October 2, a Volume 5 webisode was uploaded onto YouTube. Much like Volume 4, Volume 5 seems to have started before the previous volume has come to its end. Notable changes in Volume 5 so far are an increased running time, and a slight improvement in the animation itself, such as more varied facial expressions, and the exterior of Monster High's main building changing to look more like the school as seen in the movie specials
