List of Negro League baseball teams

The teams in Negro League baseball on this list is based upon the term "Negro Leagues" as applied by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum of Kansas City, Missouri. They are deemed to have been part of the highest level of play for black baseball during racial segregation in the United States. Over the years, a number of these teams reorganized or relocated to different communities which necessitated the changing of names and frequently its players, staff, and owner.
