This is an incomplete list of verified South American supercentenarians (people from South America who have attained the age of at least 110 years). There have been 6 verified supercentenarians from South America,.[1] The Gerontology Research Group lists persons as living whose ages have been validated and confirmed to be alive within the past year. The oldest South American ever was Ecuadorian woman María Capovilla, who died at the age of 116 years and 347 days. As of 2 March 2015, there is 1 verified living supercentenarian,[2] along with 1 pending and 22 unverified.[3]

Living South American supercentenarians[edit]

Below is a list of the oldest living people from South America. Those entries color-coded as verified have been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). Those color-coded as pending are backed by at least one document reviewed by the GRG supporting the reported age, but not the three necessary for validation by that institution. Those color-coded as unverified have submitted no documents to support the claimed age.
