List of roads in Toronto
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a list of major roads in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The city is organized in a grid pattern dating back to the plan laid out by Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe in 1793 and Lieutenant Governor Peter Russell in 1796 and 1797. Most streets are aligned in the north-south or east-west direction. The Toronto road system is also influenced by its topography as some roads are aligned with Lake Ontario, the old Lake Iroquois shoreline, or the deep valleys.
Controlled-access roads are italicized.
