This is a list of genealogy databases and online resources that are not specifically restricted to a particular place, family set, or time period in their content.
- FamilySearch - a database developed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- GEDCOMP - automated, free GEDCOM COMParison mostly related to Denmark.[1]
- GeneaNet - an international genealogy database.
- Hindu genealogy registers at Haridwar, India, microfilmed at the Genealogical Society of Utah (GSU), USA.
- MyHeritage - research, an aggregated search system covering a large number of genealogy databases.
- Rodovid - global genealogy, over 19 languages.
- Serbian Genealogical Society - Contains a online database with surnames, locations and background information. Limited access for unregistered users.
- SortedByName - millions of entries from transcription projects, sorted alphabetically and by Soundex, with links to their respective transcription project sites.
- Werelate.org - large genealogy wiki, supporting sourced collaborative. With wiki pages for over 2 million persons, 700,000 families. Sponsored by the Allen County Public Library and the Foundation for On-Line Genealogy. Also hosts the largest genealogical referenced place index with over 400,000 wiki pages and a genealogical source index with almost one million wiki pages.
