The Prime Minister of the Bahamas is the head of the government of the Bahamas. He is also the Minister of Finance and the Member of Parliament (MP) for New Providence and North Abaco. Duties of the Prime Minister include:
- the Grand Bahama Port Authority
- the Public Utilities Commission
- City of Nassau revitalisation project
- Industrial and hotel encouragement
- Bahamas Information Services
- National Economic Council
- Promotion and facilitation of investment
- Development in the Family Islands
