A number of large fires that burnt out of control across the south half of California. The flames were fueled by the unusually strong Santa Ana Winds causing the blaze to get out of control. The fires caused the evacuation of just over one million people. Most of the fires were accidental however, some of the fires are suspected to be the work of arsonists. The worst fires were around the city of San Diego. |
