List of state boarding schools in England and Wales

There are 36 state boarding schools in England and one in Wales, providing state-funded education but charging for boarding.[1][2] In addition, the Five Islands School provides free boarding during the week to secondary students from other islands.

The gender shown is that of the boarding provision; some of these schools have mixed day provision.
