Wolfgang Amadeus- Little Amadeus (a.k.a. Wunderkind Little Amadeus in USA) is an animated television series which is intended to promote the interest in music and musical instrument playing in young viewers. The series consists of 26 episodes, each of which tell a fictional story of a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (depicted as an energetic, enthusiastic boy) and his adventures which revolve around his family, friends, and performances. The stories usually involve the intrigues of his rival, Devilius (a reference to Mozart's real-life rival, Antonio Salieri), who along with a talking rat, Monti, attempt to discredit or upstage the Mozarts in the eyes of various nobles.
At the end of most episodes, Monti the Rat, in a segment called "Monti's Music Time," gives the audience a brief lesson related to that episode, such as how a piano makes sound or a brief history of Austria.
