Live From (usually always amended with the name of the event, such as Live From the Masters) is a program broadcast by Golf Channel, providing coverage of the "majors" as well as the Ryder Cup. The show is broadcast on location at the golf course where the event is being held. Live From provides supplementary coverage outside of round coverage either broadcast by Golf Channel or by another network, including interviews, press conferences, and updates.
[edit] Format
Each edition of Live From begins airing the Tuesday of the week of that tournament. On days with actual network coverage, the show will air immediately before and after coverage but not during the coverage itself. Each show during tournament play begins with a preview of what will be shown during the telecast, and highlights and analysis from Golf Channel anchors Vince Cellini, Rich Lerner, Kelly Tilghman, Kraig Kann and Steve Sands. Analysis is provided by Golf Channel analysts Brandel Chamblee, Frank Nobilo and Dottie Pepper. Also included is analysis from The Grey Goose 19th hole analyst John Hawkins and The Approach with Callaway Golf analyst Alex Miceli. Commentary is also provided by sportscasters such as Jim Gray and John Feinstein. Also during the show, the anchors will make tosses to The Golf Channel's studio in Orlando, Florida, where another anchor is sitting at the Golf Central desk. That person will answer viewer questions from the golfchannel.com website. Also included in the telecasts is press conferences from the PGA tours top players including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
