Live at Five has long been the title of Sky News' evening news round-up; beginning at 5pm British time. Since the channel's revamp on October 24, 2005, the slot has been anchored by Jeremy Thompson on weekdays, and Andrew Wilson on weekends, providing a round-up of all the day's events and coverage of any late-breaking news. The show currently runs until 7pm.

The roundup usually begins with Thompson and Wilson (or other anchor) announcing the biggest news story of the day, then proceeding to give viewers "five more reasons to watch Live at 5" - basicially a list of another five major news stories which would be featured on the show. Several minutes of reports and other features are then given on each one of these stories. This format is subject to change in the event of late-breaking news.

The programme's main rival is BBC News at Five O'Clock, anchored by Huw Edwards broadcast on BBC News only on digital. Five also air their main news programme Five News with Natasha Kaplinsky.
