London Buses route 160 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Sidcup and Catford Bridge stations, it is operated by Arriva Kent Thameside.

History[edit]

Route 160 commenced operating on 4 May 1938 between Welling and Catford via Eltham. On 2 February 1985, it was extended from Welling to Bexleyheath garage.

On 1 September 1990 it was withdrawn between Welling and Eltham. From 15 September 1996, it was extended from Eltham to Sidcup station replacing part of withdrawn route 228.

When re-tendered, it passed from Stagecoach London's Catford garage to Arriva Kent Thameside's Dartford garage on 16 September 2006.[1] Arriva Kent Thameside successfully bid to retain the route when next tendered, with a new contract commencing on 17 September 2011.[2]
