London Buses route 356 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to Stagecoach London.

History[edit]

The first route 356 ran from Tatsfield and Biggin Hill directly into Croydon.

Route 356 was introduced in 1990 by Metrobus. The route saw three types of buses since being in operation, including 8.8m Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLF single deckers.

Selkent gained the contract for route 356 in 2008, operating it from their Catford (TL) using new 8.9m Alexander Dennis Enviro200 Dart single deckers.

Performance on the route has historically been quite bad,[citation needed] with buses running late, and high point of performance is just 75%. [1]
