London Buses route 356 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Shirley and Upper Sydenham, it is operated by Stagecoach London.

History[edit]

Route 356 commenced operating on 24 June 2000 between Elmers End and Upper Sydenham in a loop via Sydenham Hill, Penge, Perry Vale and Forest Hill. The route was operated by Metrobus's Orpington garage with Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts. It replaced part of former routes 351, 352 and 361.

Upon being re-tendered, route 356 passed to Stagecoach London's Catford garage on 13 September 2008 with new 8.9m Alexander Dennis Enviro200s introduced.[1]

Stagecoach London retained the route when next tendered with a new contract commencing on 14 September 2013.[2][3]
