The Long Beach Harbor Patrol is the primary law enforcement agency in the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California, serving the business community, tenants, and visitors to the Port, receiving support and cooperation from the City of Long Beach Police Department.
Within the Port jurisdiction, the Harbor Patrol maintains a high-visibility patrol and responds to a wide variety of calls including, but not limited to: vessel departures and arrivals, emergency and non-emergency crimes, traffic accidents, industrial accidents, as well as ensuring terminals are compliant with United States Coast Guard security requirements.
The Harbor Patrol provides a variety of services above and beyond land-based patrol, including its own patrol boats, dive team, and officers specializing in bomb detection and terrorism.
