The Longstreet web site blinks and disappears using Firefox.
I would go to TripAdvisor site for reviews of the hotel.
The Hotel is nice and isolated. The Desert Wetlands National Park is minutes away and now includes the Devils Hole site, which used to be an remote annex to the DV Park. Some rooms have Gas Fireplaces. In my 5 stays over the years, it has always been a clean and fun experience. Good food too.
Pahrump is about 30 minutes to the Southeast.
Beatty is about an hour to the Northeast.
Las Vegas is less than 2 hours East.
Baker is less than 2 hours directly South.
Also South about an hour is Shoshone Hot Springs and its small cafe, museum, gas station/market, and a few motel courts. This area has more unusual scenery than much of Death Valley, especially if you visit the China Ranch oasis just outside the adjacent Tecopa Hot Springs. There is a State Campground and Public Hot Baths too.
The Longstreet Hotel had a minor fire and water damage several years ago and has been restored nicely. But it only has the one Cafe now. The fancier restaurant upstairs never reopened. And the Golf course may be in hibernation. The RV park is set off the road and backs up toward Death Valley.
It is a good place to shower after hiking/camping in DV...
The Casino, Restaurant, and Bar all face a beautiful lake, the golf course and the mountains of Death Valley via big picture windows.
