Louisiana Highway 1049 (LA 1049) is a state highway in Louisiana that serves Tangipahoa Parish. It spans 5.63 miles (9.06 km) in a south to north direction. It is known in Kentwood as College Road and 9th Street.
Route description[edit]
From the south, LA 1049 begins at a junction with LA 440 west of Tangipahoa. It heads north along the Tangipahoa Parish/St. Helena Parish line before turning more northeasterly before a junction with LA 1050. It enters the city limits of Kentwood as College Road passes under (but not connect to) I-55. At a junction with LA 1051, LA 1049 turns northerly and becomes 9th Street. It comes to an end at LA 38 (Avenue G).
LA 1049 is an undivided, two-lane highway for its entire length.
