Route description [edit]
From the west, LA 866 begins at an intersection with LA 3210 and travels east. It serves no main purpose, other than the state maintaining what would be a parish road. It ends uneventfully after almost a mile, as it transitions into a parish road.
LA 866 is an undivided, two-lane road for its entire route. Before the 1955 Louisiana Highway renumbering, LA 866 was signed as State Route 649.
Major intersections [edit]
The entire highway is in Chase, Franklin Parish.
