Liubech

Liubech or Lyubech (Ukrainian and Russian: Любеч) is a small ancient town (first mentioned in 881) connected with many important events since the times of Kievan Rus'. It is currently a small settlement (2,600 inhabitants-2001) located in Ripky Raion, Chernihiv Oblast of Ukraine.
In 1097 Council of Liubech was held here. It is was initiated by Volodymyr Monomakh and devided the land of Kievan Rus between the Princes.
