Luke Eberl (born 29 March 1986) is an actor and director best known for his role as Birn in the 2001 film Planet of the Apes and for his film Choose Connor. In 2008, Eberl was described by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the "10 Young Americans to Watch".

[edit] Film career
Eberl made his debut as a film actor in 1998's Phantoms directed by Joe Chappelle. He's best known for playing Birn in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes starring Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Clarke Duncan, Paul Giamatti, and Estella Warren and for the role of Sam in Clint Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima starring Ken Watanabe.
Eberl wrote, produced and directed the critically acclaimed film Choose Connor starring Steven Weber and Alex D. Linz, which won the American Independents Award at Philadelphia Film Festival.
Luke was named one of the "10 Young Americans to Watch" by MovieMaker Magazine in 2008.
Eberl co-wrote and is now directing The Movie, a story of a young man who's bottomed-out in Los Angeles starring Edgar Morais, Olivia Thirlby, Steven Weber, Richard Riehle, Kris Lemche and Pia Mechler.
