Luminary was the name of a vocal trance duo consisting of British trance producer Laurence Rapaccioli and American vocalist Ashley Tomberlin. The two had produced music together as early as 2002, but did not form the titular band until the year after. Though their music has been featured in a number of DJ mixes and compilation albums, Luminary ultimately released only four singles before it officially announced its end on October 17, 2007. The group also produced a fifth track, "Believe", which was never formally released but added to the official web site as a final thank you to their supporters. Before their final performance, Laurence Rapaccioli announced his engagement to Ashley Tomberlin in late 2006.
