Luzhou City (traditional Chinese: 蘆洲市; pinyin: Lúzhōu Shì; Wade-Giles: Lu-chou-shih; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lô·-chiu-chhī; Postal map spelling: Luchou City) is a city in northwestern Taipei County, Taiwan (ROC). Historically the community is called Lō·-chiu (鷺州) and Hê-siūⁿ-chiu (和尚州).
The surrounding county is due to become a city in its own right in 2009. The new special municipality will be known as New Taipei. [1]
