Lycanthia is a gothic metal band from Sydney, Australia was founded in 1996. The band describes their style as "a fusion of Doom Metal, Classical, Gothic and Rock".[2]

Lycanthia have performed frequently since their inception. Performances include slots at the long-running Metal For The Brain, Bloodlust heavy metal festivals and support for national and international acts.
