The M2, or 2/A, is a Hungarian motorway connecting Budapest to Vác. It currently only operates until Dunakeszi as a motorway, from there it is a one-lane highway. It follows the original route of the no. 2 highway (E77), towards the border with Slovakia.
In future stages it will extend toward Salgótarján.[citation needed]
