MAMCM

Overview

The Mid-Atlantic Macromolecular Crystallography Meeting (MAMCM) is an annual gathering of macromolecular crystallographers, the attendees being drawn primarily from the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the United States. From the website of the 38th meeting at UNC Chapel Hill − "The Mid-Atlantic Macromolecular Crystallography (MAMC) Meeting is a regional conference of macromolecular crystallographers who meet in order to share the latest developments in structural biology and to exchange the most current techniques in the field of macromolecular crystallography."

History

This series of meetings was started in 1970 by Professor Robert Kretsinger, and the first meeting actually took place in his home in Charlottesville, VA. The next several meetings also took place at the University of Virginia, with subsequent meetings organized by macromolecular crystallographers located on the East Coast of the United States.
