MEPACON is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The spring convention is usually held in April (usually 2 weeks away from Easter) and the fall convention is held the second weekend in November (Starting with the 2nd Friday in November).
MEPACon regularly hosts a number of role-playing game events, from traditional Dungeons & Dragons and other fantasy role-playing games to science fiction to modern warfare role-playing games. Other games played at MEPACon include board games, collectable card games and miniatures games. MEPACon has also hosted Live Action Role Playing (LARP) games. The types and amount of games change each year. The MEPACon website shows which games are scheduled for the upcoming convention, and is updated regularly to reflect these changes. Game Masters / Game Referees can upload their games onto the MEPACon website.
MEPACon Staff and Support
MEPACON is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers. Although the core of the group is essentially the same each year, new volunteers are constantly joining on an as-needed basis. The Convention is run by Ed Lehman, Director and Owner of MEPACON. He is supported by two Assistant Directors; Trisha Clay Kelley as the Assistant Director of Administration and James Minor as the Assistant Director of Operations.
Other core members of the MEPACON family include Don Kichline, Erik & Katie Zane, Natasha Lehman, Casey O'Donovan, Mike & Mary Sinkovich, Scott Davenport, Joe Krull, Becky Phillips, and Amanda Shafer.
MEPACON is sponsored in part by local Comics and Gaming store: The Portal Comics and Gaming in Bethlehem, PA (www.theportalcomicsandgaming.com)
MEPACON has hosted a number of Special Guests in the past and continues to do so every year. A perennial Special Guest (who is always entertaining to chat with) is horror fiction author CJ Henderson.
