[edit] History

On October 1, 1998 the company opened a temporary casino in Johannesburg, South Africa. It announced a plan to acquire Primadonna Resorts, Inc. on November 9, 1999. This would add three casinos and two golf courses near Primm, Nevada and give the company 100% ownership of the New York New York Hotel/Casino.

The company ceased operations on May 31, 2000 when it merged with Mirage Resorts Inc. to become MGM Mirage. This action was the result of an offer made on February 23, 2000.
