Marathwada Institute of Technology (MIT), is one of the technical institute of Gramodyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM) and is located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. Established in 1975, The college offers graduation level in faculty of engineering & technology, management, architecture, science and nursing, for post graduation programs in engineering & technology, management, information technology, and architecture, for vocational level - polytechnic, vocational programs, industrial skill set programs and technical school level programs.

The MIT Aurangabad campus consists of a unique digital library with Knowledge Center and Red Hat Academy.


Admission to the undergraduate courses is through the Maharashtra-Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for the state allocated seats (65%) and through the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for the all-India seats.


MIT is a part of National Knowledge Network ( N K N ), Govt of India and also the first academic institution in India who has got empaneled as an ESCO (Energy Service Company) approved by Bureau of Energy Efficiency under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. In January 2010 MIT stood first at Baja SAEIndia 2010 National Competition held at Pithampura, Indore (M.P.)

Maharashtra Institute of Technology ( MIT ) which offers BTech courses with industry-ready contents has been ranked top in the region of Marathwada, 10th in state of Maharashtra and listed in Top 100 engineering institutions of India with 79th rank for the year 2013. The survey for ranking Top 100 engineering institutions from the thousands from India was done by Outlook magazine in partnership with MDRA ( Marketing & Development Research Associates ) on the parameters of Selection Process, Academic excellence and Personality development & industrial exposure, infrastructure and placement.
