TheTechArea.com (formally MsBetas.org) is a technology website created in 2001. MSBetas contains news about software, gaming, hardware, and variety of other computer related topics. MSBetas also contains many help pages, screenshots and downloads related to Windows Vista.
Late in 2007, MsBetas.org moved domains to TheTechArea.com. When the administrator of the site (Dan) was asked why this move was made, he cited inspiration from his close personal friend Soopi as giving him the idea of making the site more generalized as opposed to focusing on Microsoft Betas. However, this was actually discussed at length between staff and the new name was suggested by a member of staff (Danny).
