The channel is widely available in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey, Republic of Ireland, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Romania, Israel, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Iceland, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Italy, MTV Hits was made available from January 10 after MTV Pulse closed.

MTV Hits began broadcasting in widescreen on 28 March 2012.
