Macaw is a commercial WYSIWYG editor used for web development created by Macaw, LLC. It bears a slight resemblance to the tools commonly used in programs such as Photoshop. Macaw makes web editing easier for designers that wish to create clean HTML, CSS, and Javascript.[1] It's public 1.0 release was made available on March 31, 2014 and a 30-day trial is currently available. Macaw is currently available on the Mac; The Windows edition was released alongside the Mac edition after Macaw was released publicly.[2]

Macaw uses an engine called Alchemy that allows it to logically create clean and responsive HTML, CSS, and Javascript. This tool also allows for the easy creation of fluid layouts, responsive breakpoints, rich typography, and interactivity.[3]

Macaw is currently available for purchase through the Macaw store.
