Macquarie University Research Park

Macquarie University Research Park is a 7.3 hectare site occupying the North Eastern corner of Sydney's Macquarie University. The overall site has planning approval for a total of around 80,000m2 of floor space in facilities ranging from four to nine levels on long-term leases or for owner occupation[1]. The Research Park's aim is to become internationally recognised as a science and research park that fosters economic development through collaborative research and innovation arising from the successful interaction of higher education, commerce, industry and government[2]. With the majority of tenants being large transnational corporations, the Research Park is funded entirely by the private sector . At present, the research park features 5 corporate buildings in addition to the Macquarie University Hospital.
