Macrophilia
Macrophilia refers to a fascination with or a sexual fantasy involving giants. Usually fantasies can either include the macrophile shrinking before a normal sized man or woman, or the macrophile keeping his or her normal height while their partner grows to often incredible heights.[1]

Although macrophilia literally translates to simply a "lover of large," in the context of a sexual fantasy it's used to mean someone who's attracted to people larger than themselves. Generally, the majority of macrophiles are males that are attracted to larger females. Macrophilia is not limited to only sexual interaction. Rather, a variety of situations can arouse the particular individual. Every scenario is different for each person, and can not be restrained by one particular fantasy.
The actual height of the giant or giantess within the fantasy may vary depending on the individual. While some fantasize about a person who's only slightly taller than themselves, others are interested in giants or giantesses that are hundreds of feet tall

The internet has played an important role in helping to develop the fetish. Because this fantasy is purely fictional, macrophilia media generally takes the form of artwork, collages created using Photoshop, photographs taken from a low angle (also known as a "point of view" shot) or amateur videos of people trampling and destroying model cities.[1] The act of a "giant" trampling or crushing smaller objects with their feet often ties the giant fetish together with the crush fetish, and the controversial crush videos.[2] There also existed an exhibit at the Museum of Sex titled "Kink: Geography of the Erotic Imagination" which explored many different fantasies, including macrophilia.[3]
One way in which it's possible to experience the fetish in real life is with extraordinarily tall women who refer to themselves as amazons—after the mythological Greek warriors. An amazon, such as the 6'4" Mikayla Miles who stands just under 7' in her fetish boots, will schedule private sessions with macrophiles to engage in non-sexual interaction such as: trampling, lifting and carrying, foot worshiping, roleplaying and domination.[4] An annual rally known as the Amazon Convention (or AmazonCon for short) gathers a selection of tall women to network with other amazons and to meet and greet their admirers.

An interest in macrophilia can also be commonly and closely linked to a variety of other fetishes, and not only the following :
- Breast fetishism – Being pressed against, or placed in between, the breasts of a giant woman.[5]
- Crush fetishism – Being stepped or sat on by a giant person.[2]
- Foot fetishism – Worshiping the feet of a giant person.
- Nose fetishism – Being pressed against a giant person's nose.
- Vorarephilia – Being eaten by a giant person.[6]
- Anthro Fetishism- Often micro/macrophilia involves one or more anthropomorphic character, or Furries.
- BBW Fetishism- BBW, standing for Big Beautiful Woman, also plays a large role in this fetish, involving larger women (and not just proportionately). Losing and gaining weight is also a large part of the macro/micro fantasy.

There are several terms used in the Macro and Micro world, which can be quite useful in understanding the fetish.
F/m, F/f, M/m and M/f : These terms are important to know in determining what kind of story, picture, video, or other media being viewed is. The capital letter (F for female, M for male) refers to the larger individual or individuals, while the lower case letter refers to the smaller individual. (F/m referring to Giant female, smaller male)
GTS: GTS stands for Giantess.
GT : GT can stand for two things Giant (similar to GTS) or Giant/Tiny. (GT can also be written as G/T or G/t. When written in this form, it almost always refers to Giant/Tiny.)
SW: SW stands for Shrunken Woman.
SM: SM stands for Shrunken Man.
