[edit] Character information
Madame Razz is a witch who lives in The Whispering Woods. She uses her abilities to help The Great Rebellion in their fight against Hordak and the Evil Horde. Being a witch she has spellcasting abilities, and is able to brew potions in her cauldron. With the aid of Broom, she can fly. Madame Razz is very absent-minded, and frequently mispronounces spells or forgets them completely. However, they usually have a tendency to work out for the best regardless. She is the equivalent of Orko in the He-Man series, both as comic relief and for occasional periods of wisdom. Also, most of their faces are usually covered by their hats. Madame Razz is one of three people on Etheria that knows Adora is She-Ra, she also tells the tale of how She-Ra met Light Hope, the gatekeeper of The Crystal Castle. Although they share her secret, neither one have ever interacted throughout the series run.
[edit] History
Madame Razz is very old, due to this she frequently forgets spells. Although her exact age has never been revealed, it is established that around 500 years before joining the Rebellion, she lived in a region of Etheria called Serenia. With Madame Razz's age comes great knowledge and experience. On certain occasions she shows great knowledge of legends and magic in general. It is shown that before the Evil Horde came to Etheria, Madame Razz had a relationship with Fritz. When they arrived on the planet, Madame Razz told Fritz that she could not let the Horde take over Etheria, and asked him to wait for her. Madame Razz and Fritz meet again some time later when Catra becomes aware of a monument he had been building out of glass bottles ever since the Horde first came to Etheria and she wants to destroy it. With the help of She-Ra, Bow and the Twiggets, the monument is saved and Madame Razz uses her magic to transform it from simple glass to beridium crystal, the hardest and strongest material on Etheria, making it forever safe from any further attempts by the Horde to destroy it.
[edit] The Great Rebellion
Madame Razz now lives in a cottage deep within The Whispering Woods where she helps The Great Rebellion. She is also good friends with a flying broom, named Broom. It is shown that Madame Razz and Broom have known each other for a long time, but the exact length of their relationship is never revealed. Broom allows Madame Razz to fly on his back, but his flying skills are not well honed. On several occasions the two have crashed into people, bushes and rocks.

Broom is a living broom that is the flying companion of Madame Razz. Their history together is never fully revealed, but it is established that they had adventures before they met and that they met after Etheria's invasion by The Horde.< It is revealed that Broom knew that King Ahgo had seen The Crystal Castle, but Madame Razz didn't know this. Broom is noted for his speed, which comes in very useful for the Rebellion. On one occasion he evades capture while carrying two other people. Madame Razz and Broom have a love/hate relationship mirroring Bow and Kowl's relationship. However, Madame Razz and Broom's good natured bickering is nowhere near as sharp and sarcastic as theirs. In various situations he will comment on Madame Razz's age, or correct her mistakes when she is trying to cast a spell. Broom, next to Lighthope, Kowl and Madame Razz is aware that Adora is She-Ra. Broom, like Madame Razz has never interacted with Lighthope throughout the series' run.
[edit] Other media
Madame Razz appears in the Robot Chicken episode "Slaughterhouse on the Prairie" voiced by Robin Tunney. She tells Kowl, Spirit, and Bow that She-Ra is having her period through various euphemisms when parts of Etheria are under attack.[1]
