Madonna of the stairs (or Madonna of the steps) is a relief by Italian Renaissance master Michelangelo, created around 1491.

The first citation that Madonna of the stairs was a Michelangelo sculpture was in Giorgio Vasari's Lives in the 1568 edition[1].
