[edit] Biography
Magane was formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1999. They are signed to Black Flame Records.
They strive towards a self-styled genre of music which they call "yomi metal". This combines black metal, death metal and thrash metal elements with traditional Japanese influences, not only musically but also lyrically, especially with references to gods in Japanese mythology such as Izanagi and Izanami, and also the Japanese version of Hell known as Yomi.
Magane are currently on hiatus, as their drummer and band leader Yomituti is in ill health. It is not clear when they will be musically active again.
They were formerly known as Mortes Saltantes.
